Our last boot camp went so well and got so many questions answered, we decided to put on a second one for those that could not make it last time. One of the most asked questions we get (besides advice on how to pass the test) is “what do I do now that I have my license?” Well, we have the answers!
You just got your Technician class license, you’ve been looking at Baofengs, and you keep hearing about HF. With all the different things you can do with amateur radio, where in the world do you start? Even if you knew you wanted to work HF, how do you get on? All good questions! And often times, there are about 100 correct answers.
This program is designed for the Technician class licensee (or those wanting a refresher course) who wants to know what all is out there, how to do it, and where to get the equipment. We’ll also go over some basics such as “which coax do I use” and “why this radio over that radio” and “how do I make an antenna, I don’t even have any trees to hang one with!”
Cost: This boot camp will be for members only. If you are already a member, there is no additional cost. Just another great benefit for joining SMARC!
Not a member yet? Its only $25 a year! Join here: Join SMARC!

Need additional details? Reach out to us on our “Contact Us” page at the top.
REMEMBER: Since this is a club event, we want to do our best to follow CDC recommended guidelines. Although this location is not in the city limits of Springfield, masks are still encouraged as well as social distancing.
Due to the popular demand for this event, and the need for social distancing and space, we’re limiting this first boot camp to 12 people. Please sign up below to reserve your spot!
