Public and Media are invited to join local amateur radio groups as they participate in their annual readiness exercise. Groups around the area will be set up and will provide demonstrations of their use of readiness skills in times of disaster. This event is part of the annual worldwide Amateur Radio field day exercise.

The Southwest Missouri Amateur Radio Club will demonstrate the use of off grid emergency power including solar power that can be used during emergency situations, Saturday Jun 22 at 12 PM – Sunday Jun 23 at 12 PM.

This event is the largest and most public “open house” of the year.

Scout units are invited to learn about amateur radio and work toward
their communications merit badge.

We are sponsored this year by the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 639 and Heil Sound.
