The Southwest Missouri Amateur Club Meeting will be the third Saturday of the month, at 5PM.
The meetings are held at the American Red Cross Southern Regional Officers, at the corner of West By-Pass and Division, Springfield MO.

Testing will also be available at 3PM for anyone who wants to either get their Technician licence, or wanting to upgrade to a General or Extra Class Licence. The fee for the testing is $15.
Anyone interested in becoming a licensed amateur radio operator should attend a meeting, or testing session. You do not need to already have your licence, or be a member of the club to attend a meeting or testing session. Everyone is welcome to attend, including friends, family and children.

This is the16th year to relive the ride on the “Mother Road”. A road that made the coast to coast travel possible. Consisting of 21 radio clubs and mobile stations that are on or around the route.
Local stations are encourage to participate and we would like to have the W6R call on the air 24 hours a day through the event.

Our big kick off will occur in two locations this year. There will be a station operating at the Rt. 66 Park Saturday, Sep. 12th from 9 AM to 3PM. Any operators who would like a chance to operate HF, are welcome to drop by. If you are not a Ham and would like to learn about Amature Radio. You are welcome to drop by and talk to Robert, Jack or Franklin. They will get you on the air.

The second station will be setup at Table Rock State Park. Steve Patti and Lewis will be operating the W6R call sign while introducing the crowds to Amature Radio at the Bass Pro Shop Outdoor Days Event. Come down and see us and see all the great things Bass Pro and the Off Road Camping Club have put together! We also will get you on the air on HF if you want to try it.

It is time once again for the SMARC annual Guns and Radios Picnic! Saturday 26th at 12:30PM. We will be meeting at the Red Cross at Division and West By-Pass to carpool and to caravan to Jeff and Judith’s Farm in Miller. Te caravan will leave at1PM.

You do not have to be a club member to join us. Bring a pot luck dish to share!
