-Events down the road-

There are a couple events down the road that might be of interest. SMARC is participating again in the Route 66 On the Air special event. This event commemorates the “Mother Road”, and it’s history of travel across America. There will be a radio set up at Route 66 Park in Springfield, MO on the opening night of the event. Last year people could also work the event from home, as well as on both HF & 2 meters. Event call is WER

SMARC will also be taking part again in the Outdoors event sponsored by Bass Pro Shops. It’s a good time with people into outdoors equipment, both old tech & new! There is also a rendezvous that takes place at the same time. In the past this event has been held at Lake Springfield, but this year they will be in Branson, MO.
Both events take place on the same weekend in September 12-13 for Bass Pro and Sept. 12-20 for Route 66. and more information will be coming, as we get closer to these events. If you are interested in working them, please contact a club member, or use the same contact options mentioned above.
