–Regular Announcements:
–The Southwest Missouri Amateur Radio Club meeting will be the third Saturday of the month at 5PM. The next meeting will be Saturday, September 20th., at the American Red Cross Southern Missouri Regional Offices, at the corner of West Bypass and Division in Springfield, MO

–Testing will also be available at 3PM for any one who wants to get their technician license, or wanting to upgrade to a general, or extra class. The Fee for the test will be $15.

–Any one interested in becoming a licensed amateur radio operator should attend a meeting, or testing session. Everyone is welcome, and you do not have to have a license to attend meetings.

Repeater Usage: Please make note!
The entire SMLRS repeater system is reserved for use for the MS-150 bicycle ride Saturday, September 6th from 5 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and also Sunday, September 7th from 5 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Please refrain from using the repeater system during that time for normal traffic.

Rt. 66 On the Air has begun! The event runs from tonight at 7PM until Sunday the 14th at 7 PM. 19 operators from Southwest Missouri signed up to participate. We have 2 public stations that will be set up Saturday Sept. 6 at Lake Springfield at the Outdoor Fitness event at Lake Springfield and at the Rt. 66 Park on W. College in Springfield. These are temporary stations as those signed up to participate will be participating from home.

Springfield hams are excited to be finally granted the call W6R so the home of Rt. 66 can join in on the fun!

Sept. 13th SMARC will have their annual Guns and Radios picnic at the Reppert Farm. We will once again meet at the Red Cross and car pool from there at 1 pm. All are welcome to join us.

We will be furnishing dogs and burgers! Please feel welcome to bring your firearms as Jeff has a 50 and a 100 yard range to practice on.

Please bring a side dish to share!
