Here are a couple of the great QSL cards that Joleene Naylor did for the event. What great work. Will ask for

W6R is on the web…. http://W6R.info

W6R now has a listing on QRZ

You will want this information when working stations during the event. You might mention the QSL information.
Upon receipt of their card, we will return one of the great W6R Birthplace of Route 66 cards. Direct your stations to the QRZ for the address.

It is helpful to use Eham spotters or DX Clusters to see what all of the other Route 66 stations are doing. This helps you to move away from heavy activity.

Keep in mind you can work any of the modes SSB, AM. CW, RTTY or any of the digital modes. We need all
of the contacts possible so if you know of a good contest operators, please have them join us.

See you in the morning at the Press Conference set up that will be in operation at 11:00 am on West College street in the new Historic Route 66 park. West College and Fort street. Would like to have as many operators as possible to let the media know Amateur Radio is very much alive and well in Springfield.

We also will return to the portable Field Day type set up at the Route 66 park on Saturday morning starting around 10 AM. This is just extra exposure for Amateur Radio.

Thanks for helping us make a great success .
