Upcoming Events: Route 66 On The Air: The Southwest Missouri Amateur Radio club will be participating in the annual Route 66 On The Air event this year.

The event takes place from 00:00 Zulu on Saturday September 6th, till 23:59 Zulu on Sunday September 7th. This is an annual event that commemorates the Route 66, which lead from Chicago, all the way to California.
As Springfield, Mo is recognized as the birth place of Route 66, it is an extra special joy to be able to participate in this great event! You CAN participate from the comfort of your home! We are hoping for a number of Ozarkians to step forward and operate at varying times throughout the event. Our hope… 150 contacts per station. That is less than 20 per day!!!

Have you signed up with Bob Heil? If you are interested, email info@heilsound.com

We will hopefully be setting up near the location where the highway was named. We are working out the details, and will keep you posted on the Friday Night Nets, and the Rt. 66 on the air webpage at https://www.facebook.com/wiskey6romeo

The Southwest Missouri Amateur Radio Club would like to say a very special thanks to Mr. Bob Heil for making this possible. Thank you very much Bob!
